Obituary of Jennifer June Hoese

Jennifer June Hoese, 46, of Niles, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at her home.

She was born on October 18, 1976, in Britt, Iowa to Keith and Pat (Sexton) Brouwer. After graduating from Concord High School in 1995, she went on to attend the Elkhart Beauty School. She has worked as a beautician up until this year, when she decided to open Vitality and Motion LLC.

On May 4, 2007, she married Brian Hoese at a destination wedding in Jamaica. The two were inseparable, together they enjoyed fishing, and gathering with their friends at the local Niles establishments.

Jennifer was a very strong, independent, to the point kind of woman. If she felt something strongly, she let you know.  She enjoyed rooting on her favorite teams with her husband Brian, whether it was the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, University of Michigan football, or the Iowa Hawkeye Football team. Jennifer loved to ride the Harley with Brian; they looked forward to supporting the Niles Burn Run every year.  She loved traveling and visiting new places, especially beaches.

She was preceded in death by mother, Pat Brouwer; her husband, Brian Hoese.

Jennifer is survived by her father’s Keith Brouwer of Britt and Marc Heyer of Britt;  sister Angie King of Britt; niece Taylor (Ryan Burkholder) King of LaGrange; nephew Austin (Katie McDonald) King of Goshen; half-brother Andy (Becky) Heyer (Madisyn/Teaghann/Brexton) of Britt; half-sister Faith Heyer of Perry; step sisters Jamie Dickinson (Aurora/Phoenix); Kelly (Nick) Mossiman (Robert/Oliver) of Mason City; Hannah (Dylan Humberg) Brouwer of Clear Lake; along with a host of friends.

A celebration of life open house will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the Elks Lodge of Niles, 1332 Canal St. The family has requested that all in attendance to please wear camouflage or Chicago Cubs. Jennifer’s family will be holding a private remembrance service.
