Obituary of Brian Lane Hoese
Brian Lane Hoese, 42, of Niles, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at his home.
He was born on June 12, 1980, in Niles, Michigan to Rodger and Debra (Wages) Hoese. Brian’s bleach blonde hair stood out among his peers when he graduated from Niles High School in 1998. Right after graduation, he started his lifelong construction career, following the footsteps of the Hoese men.
On May 4, 2007, he married the former Jennifer Brouwer at a destination wedding in Jamaica. The two were inseparable, together they enjoyed gathering with their friends at the local Niles establishments and riding their Harley.
Brian was larger than life, and the only thing more distinguishable than his infectious laugh, was his red beard with the distinct smell of patchouli mixed with his beard oil. Brian never met a stranger, and was a dependable friend to many, if you ever needed anything he was the first to lend a hand. Brian was an avid hunter and fisherman. If he wasn’t at work, you knew you could find him in the woods or on the lake.
He often said he was born a generation late, his love of 70’s, and country music, was shared with everyone around him. His beloved, loud truck, was the neighborhood alarm clock at times. Brian loved being around anyone who would help him cheer on his favorite teams, the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and the University of Michigan football.
Brian was preceded in death by his wife Jennifer; grandparents; Russell and Mavis Wages, and Glen Hoese.
Brian is survived by his parents; Rodger and Debra Hoese of Niles; sister, Rachel (Taylor) Brenner of Niles; grandmother, Bobbi Hoese of Niles; aunt Brenda “Aunt B” Hoese, aunt Cindy (Jim) Welch; uncle Ken (Judy) Hoese; along with a host of extended family; and friends too many to count.
A joint celebration of life open house for Brian and Jen will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the Elks Lodge of Niles, 1332 Canal St. The family has requested that all in attendance to please wear camouflage or Chicago Cubs. Brian’s family will be holding a private remembrance service.
