Obituary of David Wayne Gaskill

David Wayne Gaskill, 63, of Union, Michigan, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, at the Cass County Medical Care Facility in Cassopolis, Michigan.  

He was born on December 19, 1958 at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, Indiana to Marvin Gaskill and Elizabeth (Sailor) Serafino.

David graduated from Elkhart Central High School in 1977. He had also attended school in Bourbon and Huntington, Indiana.

In 1999 he went to work for Hibschman Screw Machine Products in Union, Michigan, where he worked for twenty-three years.

David loved being in the outdoors, especially mushroom hunting, and fishing. His treasured moments were spent with family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Marvin Gaskill of Breman, Indiana, Elizabeth “Betty” (Sailor) Serafino of Elkhart, Indiana; three sisters, Paula (Shane) Blackstone of Huntington, Indiana, Judith Gaskill of Elkhart, Indiana, Mary Gaskill Sheetz of Mishawaka; brothers, Daniel (his twin) Gaskill of Mishawaka, Indiana, Timothy Gaskill of Mishawaka; along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and his dog Duke.

David was preceded in death by his sister, Loreen Gaskill.

In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
