Obituary of Charles Steven Perry

On Wednesday, August 24, 2022, Charles “Chuck” Steven Perry, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 70.

Chuck was born on August 26th, 1951 in Red Wing, MN to Charles Ernest and Helen Perry. On August 17, 1974, he married Mary “Dina” Nadine Douglas. They raised two sons, Justin and Dennis.

Captain Chuck had a passion for boating and most of his free time was spent close to the water. He was an adventurous soul and his family often spent time on the Great Lakes exploring ports of call. He also loved to play his guitars and always looked forward to spending time with his Granddaughter, Savanah. He was an avid music lover as early as 16 years old, playing in a rock band called the “Nobody’s”. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his thoughtful and compassionate spirit.

Chuck is survived by his wife Dina, his two children, Justin (Shanna), Dennis (Shaffia), his sister Judy, his granddaughter Savanah and his dogs Hunter and Tywin.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home, 521 E. Main St. in Niles with a memorial service to begin at 1:00 p.m. and a time of visiting from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
