Obituary of Sandra Lee Burden

Sandra L. Burden, 75, of Dowagiac, passed away peacefully at The Willows Assisted Living on Thursday, August 18, 2022.

Sandra was born on October 13, 1946, to the late Robert and June (Born) Hemminger in Niles Michigan.  After graduating from Niles High School, Sandra went on to become a beautician.  She worked at the Tip To Toe Salon for many years before going back to school to become a registered nurse and retired from Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and June Hemminger and brother-in-law, Linden Freel.

Sandra is survived by her sons, Kirk (Kim) Blaske of Blairville, Georgia and Keith (Joyce) Blaske of Niles; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy Freel of Niles and Linda (Michael) Lotsbaich of Niles; and many extended family members and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 23^rd at Brown Funeral Home in Niles from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.. Funeral services to honor Sandra’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m.
