From. a young age we became fast friends. We had many adventures together. One of which was when Gloria Jean convinced me to join the Armed Forces with her. I was so scared but she was so confident and encouraged me along the way. Thats who Gloria Jean Brooks was...an honest, dedicated, smart, caring, determined, giving and sincere in loving others with her whole heart. That's how she loved and served her family, friends, community and country. That's how she served GOD, fervently, with all her heart, soul, body and mind. She loved the LORD and she knew with all her heart He loved her.She has completed her mission here, her Christian walk serving GOD winning souls for Christ, as HE led her along every step of her journey.
I will miss you my Beloved Friend ..until our next adventure.

My deepest condolences goes out to you and your family I remember her from being an usher at my church in Dowagiac and being Rev. Hull's personal usher and nurse at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. I left years ago and moved to Highland park Mi. than to Detroit, and found out not too many years ago that she was also here. I remember how the other ushers got upset about that she was also my best friend at the time sister I was friends with the famous one they called lil bit. her name is Karen Just want to send my love and share a memory I had of her.
