Obituary of Darek Jamal Bullock-Mills

     Darek Jamal Bullock-Mills, 27, of Niles, Michigan passed away on Friday evening,

August 12^th, 2022.

     He was born in Niles, Michigan on July 21, 1995, to Angelo Mills and Darci Bullock. He

graduated from Niles High School in 2014, he went on to attend Olivet College.

     Most people knew that Darek was a very exceptional and well-gifted athlete who played

football and wrestled for Niles High School. During that time, he was highly honored in

both football and wrestling earning 5th in the State of Michigan at his weight class in

wrestling.

     Darek worked at Trinton Construction doing residential work. He took great pride in his

work.

     He was meticulous in everything he did from working on his bike, to landscaping his

yard. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, camping, fishing, traveling, riding his

motorcycle, anything to be outdoors, often just cracking a beer over a campfire.

     Darek is survived by his parents, Darci Bullock of Niles, Angelo (Charlotte Kaiser) Mills

of Dowagiac, Jessica (Jonathan) Wheaton of Dowagiac; sisters, Angelique (Rashawn

Cosey) Mills of Niles, Tori Lyn McNeil of Dowagiac; brother, Jace Miller of Niles; several

extended siblings; niece, Rylann Cosey, nephew, Rashawn Mychal Cosey Jr. of Niles;

maternal grandmother, Sue Dougan Barlow of Niles; maternal grandfather, Wm.

Joseph Bullock of Florida; paternal grandfather, Bo Cloud of Dowagiac; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

     Preceding him in death were his paternal grandmother, Mary Cloud of Dowagiac; his

step-grandfather, Richard Warburton of Niles; step-father, Maurice Miller Jr.; and step-

brother, Martel Miller.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Hope

Community Church, 2390 Lake Street, Niles. A time of visitation will be held from 11:00

AM until 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.

     Memorial contributions may be made to the family at Dowagiac Federal Credit Union or

to the Teachers Credit Union in Niles.
