I am so sad that due to illness I was unable to join in remembrance Thursday with the family. I met Mrs. Holloway in 1977 as a crossing guard for my first daughter. My girls still remember her and love her even more. We were blessed to have eventually lived right down the street from her. We used to have “stubborn fights”. I would insist on helping her shovel her drive and she would insist she was capable of doing it herself. What a woman! We would laugh and shovel it together. Within a couple of days I would be honored with one of her delicious homemade cherry pies. She is an amazing woman that will always have a special place in my heart.
