Obituary of Samantha Catalina Lawson

Samantha Lawson, 29, of Niles, passed away tragically on Saturday evening, June 18, 2022 in South Bend, Indiana.

She was born on January 27, 1993 the daughter to Jerry L. and Maria L. (Mitchell) Lawson in Berrien Springs, Michigan.

She attended Niles High School. Samantha had a great passion and zest for life. She was a gifted artist and enjoyed drawing and taking photos. She looked forward to dressing up, designing outfits and doing makeup. Samantha’s greatest passion was her children, all five of them; family was always very important and she valued her friendships.

Samantha was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Mary Lawson; her maternal grandfather, Donald Davis and a very special cousin, Enrique Aguirre.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving parents, Jerry Lawson of Eau Claire and Maria Lawson; her children, Isabelle and Jared Coons, Caleb Lawson, Trever Wallace and Adison Lawson; her siblings, Jimmie Lawson of Niles and Nicole Lawson (Aaron Wentz) of Eau Claire; paternal grandfather, Jimmy Lawson of Buchanan; Maternal grandmother, Oralia Mitchell of Dowagiac as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and countless lives she has touched.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Niles with a time of visitation to begin at noon. A private interment will be held at Oakridge Cemetery in Buchanan, Michigan.
