Obituary of Robert Anthony Kring

Robert “Bob” A. Kring, 51, of Niles, passed away at his home, on Sunday, June 12, 2022, of natural causes. He was born on August 12, 1970, in Mishawaka, Indiana to Robert M. and Nadine (Hall) Kring. Bob graduated from Niles High School, class of 1989. He had previously worked for Lowe’s Home Improvement and Zolman Tires, both in Niles. He was currently employed at Pilkington of North America, Inc. He attended St. Mark Catholic Church in Niles. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, building Lego sets, camping and had a huge heart for animals. He was an avid University of Michigan fan. Bob mostly cherished his time spent with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert M. Kring and step-father, Dale V. Shepardson. Robert is survived by a daughter, Laci Kring of Niles; his mother, Nadine Shepardson of Niles; siblings, Tina Looney, Kim (Jim) Rohl, Candi (Greg) Miller and Tim (Kim) Kring. He also has a longtime companion, Michelle Brubaker as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A time of visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with Recitation of The Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church at 3 N. 19th Street in Niles. Bob’s family will gather for a private burial at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, at a later date.
