Obituary of Rosalie Rebecca Ditz

Rosalie Rebecca Ditz passed away on April 13, 2022, after an extended illness. She was born on October 7, 1928, in Brookeville, Pennsylvania to the late Cash and Dolly (Hindeliter) Witherow. On February 12, 1956, Rose married the love of her life, Earl Ditz in Pennsylvania. After his passing, Rosalie moved to Michigan to be closer to her family. She worked at Neal’s Auto Parts before going to work at Sheller Globe in Niles. Once she retired from Sheller Globe, she worked as a school bus monitor with her dear friend Pat. Rose lived a full life with her grandchildren, great-grands, and great-great grands surrounding her. One of her favorite sayings to the kids was “I love you little, I love you big, I love you like a little pig.” Well, Mom, Grandma, and Granny, we love you little, love you big, love you like a little pig! Rose is and will be, sorely missed by those who love her the most. Preceding Rosalie in death are her parents, Cash and Dolly (Hindeliter) Witherow; her husband, Earl Ditz Sr.; her children, Sandy, Terry, and Debbie; her siblings, Neal Witherow, Joe (Barb) Witherow, Pearl (Jim) Decker, and Pat (Don) Peterman. Surviving Rosalie are her children, Earl J. (Teresa) Ditz of Niles, Bill Ditz of Buchanan, and Brittany (Justin) Smith of Edwardsburg; grandchildren, Joey Ditz, Glen (Betsie) Ditz, Scott (Lilly) Best, Lisa (Stacey) Meek, Darlene Homan, Johnny Finch, Heather (Phillip) Parm, Kevin Wenger, Julie Wenger, and Michelle Tidwell; she is also survived by a host of great, and great-great-grandchildren. There will be no public services held for Rosalie as her final wishes were to be remembered as she was in life. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
