Kellie was a very complex and deeply kind person. She had a tremendous strength about her. Something I always admired about her was how she prioritized others’ well-being and happiness even in the wake of her own struggles. The compassion I know she contained. She could make a friend out of any kind of person and I myself have witnessed her do so many times. You just felt safe and comfortable around her. When it came to her family, her love was unconditional and unwavering and nothing could challenge it. I think she was one of the best people I’ve known and I hope I can pass along a modicum of the grace I experienced her give to others, myself included.
