Obituary of Jalysa Andria-Danialle Taylor

Jalysa Andria-Danialle Taylor, 33, of Hermitage, Tennessee, formerly of Benton Harbor, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Centennial Hospital in Nashville Tennessee after a valiant battle with Covid. She was born on March 8, 1988, in St Joseph, Michigan to Adrian Taylor and Pamela (Pritchard) Young. Jalysa spent her younger years in the Benton Harbor area and graduated from Eau Claire High School in 2006. She went on to attend Baker College where she obtained her Associate's Degree in Social Work. Jalysa was currently working on obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Sienna Heights University while working as a Case Manager for Aspire Health Care in Nashville. Jalysa was considered the social butterfly of the family, always surrounded by friends, and family, often participating in game nights, especially enjoying a game of UNO, or going to the movies. Her love was felt by everyone she encountered. Jalysa loved shopping, her shoe collection was immense, and her wine collection was to be envied. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; J.D and Jewel Pritchard, George and Josephine Taylor; a brother, Terrence D. Young; aunts; Martha Taylor, Shirley Chadwick, and Edna Pritchard, and an uncle, James Pritchard. Jalysa leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Pamela Young of Hermitage, Tennessee; father, Adrian Taylor of Benton Harbor; siblings, Jatarika Young of Benton Harbor; Shakia Cox and Kizzy Cox of New Haven, Connecticut; Cory Young of Otisco, Indiana; Delilah Parker of Antioch, Tennessee; two nephews, a niece, numerous aunts and uncles, special friends, Gary Hayes and Rayschelle Church of Nashville, Tennessee; along with a host of cousins, extended family, and friends. There are not enough words to describe the life and love of our angel Jalysa. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Pentecostal Peace Temple, 686 Territorial Rd., Benton Harbor, Michigan 49022, with a time of visitation beginning at 9:00 am. A Burial will follow the funeral service at Crystal Springs Cemetery.
