Obituary of Cassandra Charise Williams

Cassandra Williams, 57, of Buchanan, passed away Tuesday 8, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Battle Creek, Michigan. On July 4, 1964, she was born to the late James and Pauline (Ross) Williams, in Berrien Springs Michigan. When she was a young child the family moved to Dayton Ohio, where she spent most of her childhood, the family later moved back to Michigan, where she attended Benton Harbor high school. Cassandra was a kind person, she loved volunteering, and helping others. She was very determined and confident in her beliefs; she never held her feelings or thoughts back. If she felt you were wrong or misinformed, she helped you see things in her way; she was blunt and very straightforward. Her most treasured moments were spent with her grandchildren. She is preceded by her parents, James and Pauline; siblings, Marquita Ross, Edward Ross, Ann Hersey, Fredrick Ross, and James Williams Ross. Cassandra is survived by her three children, Sylvanius Ross of Benton Harbor; Trarael Ross Sr. of Battle Creek; Pauline Ross Ward of Battle Creek; seven grandchildren; Qua’mecia Ross, Deon Ross, Keith Ross, Nicholas Ross, Barack Walker, Kentavion Taylor, and Trarael Ross Jr.; sisters, Robin Ross of Dayton, Ohio; Christal Williams Collins of Benton Harbor; special friend, Santee Wall; and her significant other, Lorenzo White; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. The lessons she taught, and the kindness she showed will be missed. A Home Going service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Apostolic Tabernacle, 1881 Greenly Ave. Benton Harbor, Michigan 49022. Visitation with the family will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the service at Crystal Springs Cemetery.
