Obituary of Mila Mae Yeager

Mila Mae Yeager of Keeler, Passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022, with her daughters by her side. She was born on February 17th, 1940 in South Bend, Indiana. She graduated from high school in 1958, Mila’s love for working with plants and flowers led her to E and S Enterprises in the 1980s. She worked her green thumb there for 20 or more years on many different varieties of plants, flowers, and trees. She enjoyed listening to music, watching and listening to DVDs to teach her the Christian bible. She enjoyed going on pontoon rides on nice summer days, sitting on her front porch watching the birds she fed along with the butterflies she loved. She enjoyed attending country music concerts and music in the park with her friends, watching movies, going out to eat, shopping, and going on trips. She also collected dolls. Her collection included collector porcelain, vinyl, leather, wood, and cloth dolls. Most of all Mila enjoyed time with her family. She was the best mom, wife, sister, aunt, grandma, great-grandma, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Louis West; her children, Angela Yeager, Kevin West, Eddie Yeager, Shelly Polashak, and Leonard Cameron; her mother, Donna Jones; her sisters, Virginia Benjamin, Viola Rock; and her brother, Ronnie Jones. Mila is survived by two daughters, Rose (Roy) Smith of Galien, Stacey (Chris) Oxley of Lawton; Son-in-law, Terry Polashak of Sister Lakes; Daughter-in-law, Cindy Cameron of Niles; Granddaughter, Kc (Martin) Brown of Lansing; grandson, Travis Keefer of Buchanan; and great-grandchildren, Bryton and KayleeAnna Brown, as well as Isabella Keefer; Mila is also survived by many loving friends and extended family members. A private memorial service will be held at a future date to honor Mila’s Life. Funeral Arrangements are being handled by Brown Funeral home and Cremation Services.
