Obituary of Gregory Darnell Williams II

Gregory “Greg” D. Williams II, 22, of Niles, was taken from this earth way to soon on Saturday, January 15, 2022. His arrival on August 9, 1999, in Niles, Michigan, to Gregory and Vicki (Carmine) Williams, was a celebrated occasion, their son had arrived. Greg was a loving little boy, and as most little boys a bit mischievous. As he grew into a young man, he became his mother’s biggest fan and his dad’s friend. His sister’s helped to spoil him. Greg had a big heart, his smile was contagious, and if you were blessed enough to receive one of his hugs, you felt his love deep into your soul. You could never be upset in his presence his unique personality lit up the room. He had a caring and giving spirit, he often said that the homeless were forgotten, he made a point to visit the shelters, offering to be an ear to listen or even a lunch companion. Greg never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Thelma Bunting, and Dee Carmine; uncle, Michael Carmine Sr., and his aunt, Lisa D. Carmine. Greg is survived by his father, Gregory (Sandra) Williams I of Niles; his mother, Vickie (Duncan) Williams of South Bend; sisters, Ashley Johnson and Tabitha Williams; son, Jayden Clark; grandfather, Charles Bunting Sr., aunts, Marqurette Williams, Teresa Williams, Gabrielle Williams; uncles, Homey “JR” Carmine, Joseph (Kelly) Carmine; along with a host of extended family and friends A celebration of his life is being planned around his birthday in August.
