Obituary of Christopher Arther Sweeney

Christopher Sweeney, 49, of Niles, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Lakeland Spectrum Hospital in Niles. He was born on March 18, 1972 in Niles, Michigan to Wayne A. and Kathleen J. (Skalla) Sweeney. Christopher graduated from Galien High School, class of 1992. He worked for area restaurants as a cook. Chris was a free-spirit and had a great passion for music and the outdoors, especially fishing. He also looked forward to time he could spend with his daughter. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Sweeney. Chris is survived by his daughter, Maddie Sweeney of Jackson, Michigan; his mother, Kathleen Sweeney of Buchanan; his brothers, Mike and Aaron (Melissa) Sweeney of Buchanan as well as several other family members and friends. In keeping with Chris’ wishes he will be celebrated privately by his family. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to his family.
