Obituary of Carol J Teeter

Carol Teeter of Niles, Michigan passed away at the age of 91 on November 17th, 2021. Carol was born February 22nd, 1930 in Hammond, Indiana the daughter of William (known as Bob) and Wilma (Smith) Gray. On March 2nd, 1951 she married Jack G Teeter who survives. She was by his side while he served in the US Army in North Carolina and Texas. Carol was a loving wife and mother, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Carol and the family enjoyed many years of camping at Pokagon State Park in Angola, Indiana. She graduated from Niles High School in 1949. After being a homemaker for many years, she was employed as an instructional assistant by the Niles Community School system and then at the Berrien Country Juvenile Center where her life experiences made for a perfect fit. Carol was proceeded in death by her parents and her sister, Marlene (Robert) Adler. Surviving in addition to her husband of 70 years are her sons Roger Teeter(Shelly), Tim Teeter (Sharlene), Bill Teeter (Pat), Jeff Teeter, and Steve Teeter (Cheryl). Carol was also a grandmother to Summer Solloway (Jay), Roger Teeter (know as Hoss), Cheyenne Sharpe (John), Jamie Oppenheim (Dan), Taryn Ray (Joe), Namath Teeter (Alexis), Chad Teeter, Westley Teeter, Greg Teeter, Kim Sewell (John II), Josh Teeter (Danielle), and Trisha Carter (Josh). She was also a great-grandmother to 11. Arrangements are being made by Brown Funeral home in Niles, Michigan. A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.
