Obituary of Charles Wesley Warren

Please share a memory of Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Charles lived his entire life in Niles, Michigan. He was born on September 1st, 1951. He was the first of two sons. He had a brother, James (Jim) who died at the age of 39. Jim had two sons, James and William, who live in Niles today, Charles nephews. When Charles was only two months old his parents, Bill and Elvera, were in a car accident. During the impact, Charles suffered multiple skull fractures that affected the rest of his life. He was able to graduate from Brandywine High School and later worked for Torrington in South Bend. He continued to work there until he had a motorcycle accident on his way to work that damaged his leg. He had trouble with his knee for the rest of his life. When finally having his knee replaced in September of 2020, the doctor said his knee was five times the normal size. Though therapy was encouraged, Charles had a hard time recovering and never got better. It seemed like he lost the will to live. For the most part, Charles was a happy-go-lucky person. He enjoyed both ice fishing and regular fishing, and he liked to tinker with machinery. He was always ready to help anyone in need if he could. He was a good mechanic and was forever working on someone’s car for them. He liked working on lawnmowers and snow blowers, and was good at repairing them, too. He loved Holy Trinity and was a faithful attendee for nearly his entire life. Charles was 70 years old.
