Obituary of Terry Lee Martin Sr.

Terry Lee Martin Sr, 69, of Niles, passed away at his home on October 14th, 2021 with his family by his side. Terry was born on September 7, 1952 to the late Robert and Mary (Reed) Martin of Niles. Terry wed Dorothy Stover at a simple ceremony in South Bend, IN on March 26, 1971. Together they raised two children. After thirty years of service with Farm Bureau Oil Company, Terry retired and was able to spend the remainder of his time with his loving wife. Toward the end of Terry’s life he developed frontotemporal degeneration (FTD) which was an illness that progressed over many years. As the FTD progressed Terry’s beloved wife, Dorothy, was there by his side supporting him until the very end. Throughout his lifetime he found enjoyment camping with his family on vacations, attending Indy car racing and fishing. He will be sadly missed by his family and all those that loved him. Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary (Reed) Martin. He is survived by his wife, of fifty years, Dorothy, son Terry (Brenda) Martin of Goshen, Indiana, Maria (Ronald) Hohl of Niles, Michigan, grandchild Tara Martin of Goshen, Indiana and sister Mary Diana (Gerald) Westfall of Niles, Michigan.
