Obituary of Kenneth Palmer Sr.

Kenneth R. Palmer, 69, of Reseda, California, formerly of Niles, Michigan, went home at peace, due to a sudden illness on Monday, October 4, 2021. He was born on June 6, 1952 in Niles to the late Hubert and Mary Palmer. Kenneth worked in construction for most of his working career. He enjoyed being a Patriots fan. He will be remembered for his stylish and classy ways; having swag like none other. “Mr. Big Drip” was a one-of-a-kind street legend that enjoyed cruising around in his blue Mercedes while listening to smooth jazz music. He was preceded in death by his parents. Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory a son, Kinte Palmer of South Bend; a daughter, Fiona Davis of Grand Rapids; eight grandchildren, Kionte, Daysha, Jequea, Kivonte, Keijuan, Kelijah, Kuarte and Kyair Palmer as well as Jaida Davis and Kendrick Harris; his siblings, Beverly (George) Covington, Evelyn Palmer, Mattie (George) Covington, Richard Palmer, Ronnie (Terry) Palmer and Wayne (Pam) Palmer all of California and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home in Niles at 1:00 p.m. A time of visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. An interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 18 at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
