Obituary of Don Franklin Yoder

Don F. Yoder, 84, of Three Rivers formerly of Niles, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021, at Bowman Place in Three Rivers, Michigan. He was born on December 26, 1936, in South Bend Indiana, to the late Eldon and Frances (Metcalf) Yoder. On December 14, 1959, he married his sweetheart, Christine Cichos, in Cassopolis Michigan. They were blessed with three beautiful children, who in turn blessed them with grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Don retired from National Standard in 2000. In his free time, he has thoroughly enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, camping, or just playing with the grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Yoder; a sister, Doris Getz; and a grand-daughter, Montana Yoder. Don is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Christine Yoder of Three Rivers; daughter, Laurie (Alan) Price of Niles; Jeffrey (Wendy) Yoder of Edwardsburg; Timothy (Bridgett) Yoder of Niles; seven grandchildren; Michael and Justin Price, Cody and Courtney Yoder, Skylin, Allie & Tyris Yoder; and one great-grandchild, Stone Sharp. In keeping with his wishes, he has been cremated. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 11, 2021, at St Mark Catholic Parish in Niles, family will greet guests one hour prior to the Mass. Memorial contributions in his memory may be directed to The Wounded Warriors Project, St Mark Catholic Church in Niles, or to the Three Rivers Home Care and Hospice Center.
