Obituary of Marian Ruth Stickel

M. Ruth Murphy-Stickel, 92, of Niles, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at West Woods Nursing Home of Niles, following an illness. Ruth was born on July 8, 1920 in Emporia, Kansas to the late Milo and Zella (Patterson) Tague. She was a lifelong member of the Pokagon United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for over thirty years. Ruth also loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Clair Murphy in 1975 and Warren Stickel in 2006, granddaughter Tracey Bowker in 2012, two brothers LeRoy and Manley Tague. Ruth is survived by her daughter Patty Murphy of Niles, four grandchildren; Bill (Kellie) True of Cassopolis, Sherri Wogatzke of Warsaw, Melanie (Les) Sanford of Elkhart and Robin True of Niles, 13 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
