Obituary of Gloria Jean Fritz

Gloria J. Fritz, 57, of Niles, passed away at Lakeland Hospital in Niles on Monday, June 7, 2021. Gloria was born on October 19, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois. She was born to Arthur and Mary Fritz and after he passed her stepfather, Alex Hines helped raise her. After graduating from high school, Gloria went on to become a Certified Nursing Assistant which she continued to do up until her recent diagnosis of kidney disease. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Fritz; step-father, Alex Hines; mother, Mary Fritz-Hines, and her brother, Ray. Gloria is survived by her children, Brittany Whitfield of Niles and Brandon (Melanie) Hampton of Mission Viejo, California; grandson, Zias; siblings, Clark (Linda) Glover of South Bend, Deborah (Marvin) Williams of Jacksonville, Florida, her twin sister Valerie Fritz of Chicago, Joseph Fritz of Chicago, and Junior Fritz of Menifee, California; and many extended family members and close friends. Funeral services to honor and celebrate Gloria will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Brown Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Bryant L. Bacon officiating.
