Obituary of Olivia Jean Rhen

Olivia J. Rhen, 38, of South Bend, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. She was born on October 4, 1982 in Oregon to Timothy and Holliana (Howe) Kroeker. Olivia had been employed by Boyd Corporation where she worked as a set-up technician. Olivia had a passion for the beach, especially the Pacific Ocean. She also enjoyed watching crime dramas and movie nights with her family. The love for her grandson and three dogs was immense. She was the most caring person, always so selfless. Olivia would go out of her way to make others feel comfortable and included. She loved going on new adventures and was always planning the next one. She is preceded in death by her close friend, Jamie Sharrai. Olivia is survived by her father, Timothy Kroeker of Idaho; her mother, Holliana (Howe) Mayes of Florence, Oregon; daughter, Destiny Hickman of Eau Claire, Michigan; her grandson, Aziz Avila; husband, Derick Rhen; her brother, Timothy Kroeker of Astoria, Oregon as well as many other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Niles with visitation one hour prior.
