Obituary of Patricia Rose Lampman
Please share a memory of Patricia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Patricia Rose Lampman, 74, of East Leroy Michigan passed away Monday, April 26, 2021, at her daughter’s home.
Her parents, Adam and Eva (Osborne) Youngman, welcomed their baby girl in Battle Creek on August 9, 1946.
After graduating from Lakeview High School in 1964, Pat furthered her education and received her nursing degree, starting her career at Lakeview General Hospital of Battle Creek, then, transitioning to Mercy Pavillion in Battle Creek; she also worked for many years at Community Health Center of Coldwater. She then took a position with the VA Hospital where she retired.
She married Harold G. Lampman on August 21, 1965, at a ceremony in Battle Creek and happily welcomed their children, Teresa and Harold Jr., “Bud”.
Pat had a wide variety of interests. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, and mushrooming. The birds oftentimes served as her entertainment during the day and she was an avid reader. Cows always had a special place in Pat’s heart and it was evident in her large collection of cows. Pat was also quite skilled in crafts and spent time etching glass and sewing. When time permitted, Pat enjoyed catching up with friends from her graduating class as part of the 64 Club. Her favorite pastime was time spent with family and friends laughing and trying to stay out of trouble.
Preceding Pat are her parents and her husband Harold.
Her smile and laughter will be greatly missed by her children, Teresa (Gregory) DeGraw of Union City and Harold Jr.“Bud” (Teresa “T.T.) Lampman, of Battle Creek; her five grandchildren, Derrick (Becca) DeGraw, Darion (Tyler) Diamond, Nicole (George) Face, Nathan (Kelly) Lampman, and Amy (Joshua) Thatcher; her eight great-grandchildren with one on the way and her brother Adam “Butch” Youngman (JoAnn) of South Haven.
