Obituary
Obituary of Keith Buck Rogers
Please share a memory of Keith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kevin’s darling loving twin brother Keith Rogers came down with Covid Pneumonia in April 2021, after defeating the mild virus in March 2021.
Keith grew up with twin brother Kevin in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. He was a musician, poet & writer from an early age. Keith played ice hockey with Kevin throughout their youth. Both were goalies and often played on the same teams; Keith was offered college scholarships but turned them down to pursue music instead.
Keith attended a number of community colleges & universities. Keith & Kevin were roommates at Ferris State University, Central Michigan University, including Western Michigan University. Keith was an English major.
Keith attended Cypress Bible Institute of Texas, Berean School of the Bible of MO, Master’s International Divinity School of IN, and most recently Oval Bible College of LA, and Universal Life Church of CA. He was an ordained minister. Much of his past several years focused upon Gospel Music and Contemporary Christian Music. Just before his death, Keith completed a Gerontology Certificate from Washtenaw Community College and was a social work student through the University of British Columbia, his pride and joy.
Keith was a professional author and wrote at least 100 books. Over the past ten years, his writing appeared with Amazon Kindle Books under the pen name “Jameselle Bond.”
He also had one foot in Nashville and recorded music with well-known artists. He recorded a song with Marc Speer of the Speer Family, has collaborated with Sheryl Crow, and wrote songs for Uri Kabiri in Nashville and Israel.
Although Keith kept to his privacy, never seeking fame, he has numerous music websites on the Internet. Many of his songs are featured on Reverbnation, under “The Sweet Crème Puff Prophets.” Keith claimed to be an amateur, was very humble; but his friends knew of his incredible musical talent and professionalism.
Keith led a quiet life and claimed to be a “Blue Collar Worker,” thus holding service jobs in retail, manufacturing, and cleaning. Keith spent vast amounts of time with his twin brother Kevin. Most importantly was his love for God, Country, Peace, and Joy—as a Believer (John 8:12). He planned on getting married to Bonnie Moore of Delton, Michigan; but she passed away.
Keith loved nature and especially birds. One of his best friends was a yellow finch named “Boris” at a local nursing home. Kevin Rogers recently planted a grove of trees for Keith, through a famous tree forest organization. Keith loved his job in manufacturing, going on 3 years at Eimo Technologies of Vicksburg, Michigan. They were a loving work family, he reported. Keith got great respect & help from co-workers & management when he developed back problems, and came to work on a walker.
In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place.
