Obituary of William Ray Taube

William Ray Taube, 78, of Niles, Michigan, passed away in his home on 03/31/2021. He was born to parents Fredrick Taube and Blanche (Holcomb) Taube, on May 21, 1942, in Buchanan, Michigan. Bill graduated from Brandywine High School and moved on to work as an Industrial worker for most of his career, finally retiring from RACO in South Bend in 2005. He returned to work and became a security guard at Four Winds Casino in Dowagiac during his retirement years. He loved fishing, visiting his brother in Tennessee, and most of all, golfing. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind compassionate spirit. Bill met Connie (Kiefer) Taube in 1996. They were married on April 5, 1997, in Niles, Michigan. A second marriage for both, combined they shared five children. Bill is survived by his wife Connie, sons Jody M. (Jill) Taube of Portage, Bradley S. (Teri) Taube of Niles, & Christopher A. Taube of Buchanan; step-children Tony (Jennifer) Waldron of Connecticut & Wendy (Phil) Schirripa of South Bend; siblings Gene (Hedy) Taube of Tennessee, & Bonnie Florey of Niles; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick & Blanche Taube, and his sister, Doris Buck. His funeral will be held at 1:00 PM at their church, Michiana Christian Embassy, 1922 E. Main St. Niles on April 21, 2021, with Pastor Jeff Whitaker officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Bill will be laid at his final resting place, Mission Hills Memorial Gardens 61453 M-51 North, Niles Michigan.
