Obituary of Ross Edmund Hopson

Ross E. Hopson, 83, of Berrien Center, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021.
Ross was born on June 12, 1937, in Dungog, N.S.W., Australia to the late Leslie and Bessie (Shelton) Hopson.
Ross served in the Australian Military and served a six-year apprenticeship in watchmaking and became a Master Horologist. His entire working career was in jewelry making, and repairing and restoration of fine timepieces. Ross was also involved in the restoration and dealing of Steinway pianos. He moved to the United States, 57 years ago.
Ross is survived by his brother, Geoff Hopson, his sister, Dawn Byron both of Australia; and a friend of many years, Jack Hartsell.
A graveside service will be held at Sumnerville Cemetery in Pokagon, Michigan at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2021. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
