Obituary of Donna Darlene Ward

Donna D. (Wendorf) Ward, 86, of Battle Creek, Mich., passed away Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. She had been hospitalized there since July 24, 2017. She was born in Olivet, Mich., on Nov. 24, 1930, the daughter of Frank and Bethel (Murch) Wendorf. She enjoyed her work as a gas station manager and clerk, as she was a gifted people person. After retirement, she enjoyed playing cards with friends, going places in her car and spending time with family. Donna is survived he daughters, Carolyn (Ron) Howard and Karen Riter; son, Paul (Christina) Ward; brother Gary (Ruby) Wendorf; ex-husband, David Ward; grandsons, Douglas (Dawn) Howard, David (Jamie) Howard, William Riter; granddaughter, Melissa (Brock) Stuart; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Carrol Wendorf, Robert Wendorf, Loren (Bud) Wendorf and Richard Wendorf; and sisters, Velma June (Wendorf) Yarger and Wilma (Wendorf) Duttlinger.
