Obituary of Harry John Roebeck

Harry Roebeck, 88, of Niles, passed away at Buchanan Meadows on Monday, February 1, 2021, following an extended illness. Harry was born on April 19, 1932, in Niles, Michigan to the late Frederick and Hulda (Reum) Roebeck. Harry farmed his entire life and enjoyed it. He enjoyed frequent trips to Nashville and was an avid Notre Dame Football Fan. On Christmas Eve of 1951, Harry married Helen J. Anglin at a ceremony in Niles, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen; a son, Kevin Roebeck; siblings, Shirley Kujawa, Louise Fletcher, Lewis Roebeck and Merrill Roebeck. Harry is survived by his children, Bob (Doreen) Roebeck of Niles, Martin (Yvonne) Roebeck of Niles and Verna Roebeck of Dowagiac; six grandchildren, Amanda (Andy) Hubbard of Niles, Lisa (Jeff) Folkers of Niles, Kaitlyn (Andrew) No of Byron Center, Allison (Alex) Perz of Georgia, Krissa (Randy) Van Wagner of Niles and Jennifer Prestine of Niles; nine great-grandchildren, Abbie, Colton, William, Emma, Gabe, Hannah, Cammy, Dillon and Tyler; and many extended family members and close friends. A service to celebrate Harry’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 1:00 pm. at Brown Funeral Home in Niles with a time of visitation beginning at noon. A private interment will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made in Harry’s memory to L.A.D.D. Inc at 300 Whitney St, Dowagiac, MI 49047.
