Obituary of Alana Marie Kitchell

Alana M. Kitchell, 69, of Buchanan, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021, at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph, Michigan, following a series of brief illnesses. She was born in LaPorte Indiana on February 15, 1951, to the late Merrill C. and Narcetta (Griffin) Kitchell. Alana graduated from River Valley High School, where she was very proud to have been a drummer in the band. She loved being in the outdoors, whether it was horse-back riding or deer hunting. Around the age of twenty, she shot her first deer, while in Three Oaks. Alana loved all things of nature and enjoyed owl watching. Her greatest treasure was her family, and her close, loyal friends. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two of her brothers, Scott, and Thomas. Alana is survived by her brothers, Michael (Vickie) Kitchell of Buchanan; John (Brenda) Kitchell of Buchanan; and Jeff Kitchell of Buchanan. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place, and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
