Obituary of Kimberly Sue Simpson

Please share a memory of Kimberly to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kimberly Simpson, 56, of Niles passed away Friday, January 1, 2021, at Lakeland Hospital of St. Joseph. On February 3, 1964, Kimberly was born to O. Dwayne and Saran (Peters) Brock in South Bend, Indiana. After graduating from Niles High School, Kimberly went on to Lake Michigan College where she was furthering her education. Shortly after high school, Kimberly wed Craig Boyer, and to that union two sons were born. They later divorced and Kimberly married Michael Simpson on May 25, 1998. Family was everything to Kimberly. She was devoted to her children and had many “adopted” kids that loved her as well. She was selfless, and she wanted everyone to always feel welcome. Kimberly’s house was always a popular hangout for her children’s friends; especially at dinner time. She was a wonderful cook and loved to cook for the small army that was often at her home. Her children will miss her fun-loving side; she was always saying or doing something that would cause them to erupt with laughter. She was also a very artistic soul, which was evident by the many paintings she completed all the while listening to music. Kimberly’s made an impact on those she spent time with; her glowing personality will continue to burn bright in the memories of those she loved and who loved her. Preceding Kimberly in death is her husband, Michael Simpson. Kimberly is survived by her children, Tim Boyer of Madison, Indiana, Arie Boyer, Chloe Simpson, Max Simpson, and Lena Simpson all of Niles. She is also survived by her parents, O. Dwayne and Saran Brock of Niles, and her siblings, Ronald Brock of Niles and Loralee (Jeff) of Grand Ledge. In keeping with Kimberly’s wishes cremation has taken place and her family will be remembering her privately. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honor of Kimberly have been asked to consider making a donation to her family in care of Brown Funeral Home.
