Obituary of Elsie Mae Spaulding

Elsie Mae (Stelter) Spaulding, 84, of Three Oaks, went to be with our Lord at Spectrum Lakeland Regional Medical Center on Friday, December 25, 2020. Elsie was born on July 15, 1936, to the late Henry and Hulda (Krieger) Stelter in Bridgman. After she graduated from high school Elsie wed Warren Clyde Spaulding on January 22, 1955. She worked as a seamstress for Gerber. She loved flowers, gardening, sewing, creating and helping others. Elsie was not afraid of her death, not afraid of her faith, not afraid to love, not afraid to live her life, not afraid to forgive and most definitely not afraid to speak her mind. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Warren Spaulding in 2012; daughter Kathleen Guliuzza; and siblings, Paul, David, Henry, Esther, Virginia, Martha, Paulette, and Dorothy. Elsie is survived by her children, Debra (Ed) Smith of Three Oaks, Judith Spaulding of Three Oaks, Diana Eberhardt of Stevensville, and Theresa Spaulding of Three Oaks; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Lou Svorec of Winter Haven, Florida, Evelyn Basel of Richmond, Michigan, Emily (Ed) Kast of Saginaw, Michigan, Richard (Pat) Stelter of Bridgman, Leslie Stelter of Coloma, Wisconsin; and many extended family members and close friends. In keeping with Elsie’s wishes, she has been cremated and her family will be remembering her privately at this time. The family will be hosting a memorial potluck dinner on July 17th at 2:00 p.m. at the family farm.
