Charles “Chuck” R. Lace, 82, of Dowagiac, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at The Timbers of Cass County in Dowagiac. He was born in Dowagiac, Michigan on February 15, 1938, to the late Charles D. and Henrietta (Pohlman) Lace. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister’s, Wilma J. Kent, and Naomi Lucille Teadt. Chuck is survived by his siblings, Nancy C. Hurley of Marcellus; Sarah Beebe of Dowagiac; Mary E. (Timothy) Diethrich of Buchanan; and James (Carol) Lace of Dowagiac; nineteen nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and several great-great-nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Brown Funeral Home, 521 E. Main St., in Niles. A time of visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Garden. In keeping with the Covid-19 guidelines, our gathering is limited, the State of Michigan requires all in attendance to follow all guidelines including, social distancing, mandatory mask, and hand sanitizing.
