Obituary of Kathy Denise Glenn

Please share a memory of Kathy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kathy D. Glenn (57), but still holding on to 25, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 9, 2020. Kathy was born on August 24, 1963, to the union of Katherine Glenn and Larry P. Glenn. Kathy attended Berrien Springs High School where she was a bright student who loved school and loved to read. There was never a time where you did not find some kind of love/romance book in her purse along with peanut M&M’s, Peppermint Mentos, and a wide variety of ink pens. Kathy graduated from Southwest Michigan College where she started her career in care-taking. She had a love for people, especially working with the elderly and the babies. She loved to travel, and as a nurse, she was afforded the opportunity to travel the United States, working in many different places helping others get better. Later, Kathy returned back to school where she received her BS in Nursing from Ivy Tech State College. She was currently enrolled at Chamberlin College to further her education. Kathy truly loved people and loved to give and would give you everything she had. All year long, Kathy took the time to collect small gifts for her family so that on Christmas day she could make sure every person that came to our family gathering walked away with something and knowing they were loved. Kathy was love. Kathy showed Gods love and was an example of what love should look like every day. One thing we know is that Kathy gave her life to God, and was a member of Sanders Temple COGIC in Indianapolis, IN where the Pastor Elder J. Rashad Jones is the leader. Kathy grew up at Mt. Zion COGIC singing in the choir and being a young, active member. She loved gospel music and when she was not traveling for work, you would find her singing in the choir at Sanders Temple. Kathy was blessed to have three amazing children: Brandon Glenn, Jeffrey House (Ashley Frazier), and Kahtlyn Glenn, who will continue to hold her legacy strong and remind her grandchildren (Jeffrey Jr., Joel, McKenley and KaicCyn) of the great woman she was. Kathy is survived by her Mother: Katherine Glenn, siblings: Lorela (Greg) McNair, Larry Glenn, Rodney (Jennifer) Glenn, Felicia Glenn, and Cynthia Glenn. Along with a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Kathy was proceeded in death by her Father: Larry P. Glenn, her sister: Yolanda P. Glenn-Williams, and her niece: Shalonda M. Williams-Burger. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020, at Brown Funeral Home in Niles from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Berrien Springs, at 2:00 p.m. Please be conscious of social distancing and masks are required during visitation and service.
