Lorraine E. Weiss, 74, of Niles, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. She was born on October 1, 1946, in Manila, Arkansas to the late Rufus and Emma (Chapman) Peppers. On May 14, 1977, in Breman Indiana, she married Dennis Weiss. Lorraine was a very loving, and caring mother, grandmother, and aunt. She enjoyed baking for everyone during the holidays. In her free time, she loved to garden, and play ball with her dog Pepper. Lorraine will be missed by everyone who knew her, especially her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis Weiss; siblings, Jean Ceccanese, Kathryn Hoggard, Rufus Peppers Jr., Doyle Peppers, Richard Peppers, Lee Peppers, and Walter Peppers. Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Dawn (Bobby) Phillips of Buchanan; grandchildren Dennis Phillips of Niles; and Ashley Phillips of Buchanan; siblings; Erma (Jack) Riedel, Dorothy (Richard) Mickey, and Larry (Lily) Peppers. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place, and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
