Obituary of Debra Marlene Deeds

Debra “Debbie” Marlene Deeds, age 63, of Buchanan, Michigan, passed away on July 24, 2020 unexpectedly at her home. She was born on August 24, 1956 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Robert and Leona (Shaw) Ford and was raised by David and Lily (Shaw) Phillips Kokomo, Indiana. Debbie graduated from Western High School in 1975. On August 11, 1978 Debbie married Robert Deeds in Buchanan, Michigan and were happily married for forty-two years. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family and friends. She is preceded in death by Robert and Leona Ford, her parents David and Lily Phillips, siblings Bobby Phillips, Tommy Ford, Eddie Ford, Jackie Ford, LaVerne Stafford, Elise Gay (infant), Jean Ford and Faye Ford. Debbie is survived by her children Kari Deeds and Jodi Deeds, as well as siblings Ron (Cathy) Phillips, Jessica (Lloyd) Wileman, Joe (Sharon) Ford, Irene Balentine, Jimmy Ford, Henry (Debbie) Ford, Betty (Allen) Colley, David (Mary) Ford; her aunt, Alice (Shaw) Lambert; seven grandchildren, Keith Clark, Kaysha Deeds, Kalem Clark, Buddy Deeds, Kyla Bradshaw, Katarah Deeds, Brylen Deeds; two great grandchildren, Kaniyah Marbley, Kinzlee Harris and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Bethel Apostolic Church at 945 Chippewa Street in Buchanan on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with a time of visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. An interment will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan.
