Edith M. Hulett, 72, of Niles, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana following a lengthy illness. She was born on November 11, 1947 at the former Pawating Hospital in Niles to the late Luther and Gladys (Smith) Turner. Edith graduated from Buchanan High School, class of 1966. She married Terry Hulett on August 26, 1968 at a ceremony in Buchanan. Edith retired from Simplicity Pattern Company after four decades of work. She enjoyed flower gardening, computer games, and trying to stay connected to family and friends using social media. One of Edith’s greatest joys was watching her grandson play baseball. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Terry, a brother, Reggie Turner and a sister, Barbara Robbins. Edith is survived by her children, Brian (Michelle) Hulett of Buchanan and Vicki (Joe) Kester of Minnesota; grandchildren, Gabrielle Kester and Owen Hulett as well as two sisters, Linda Brock of Arkansas and Kathleen Kinney of Missouri. A visitation to celebrate Edith’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Her family will hold a private interment at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made in Edith’s memory to the American Kidney Fund at 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
