Although I have not seen Tom in years, his friendship was very important to me. His calm, good hearted nature and quickness to laugh seems to have endured in to his later years. I enjoyed getting to know him a little more again through social media and have no doubt we will meet again in the eternal life our faith will provide. Prayers to the family.

I was shocked to hear of Tom's passing. We recently connected on facebook through an old friend of his that still lives in Three Oaks. Back in 1995, when Tom managed Union Pier Station, I moved to Lakeside and got a bartending job. He took me on even though I had never tended bar before and it was the most fun I had in my life. Being used to always having an office job and being older, the locals were the best! Tom was always so patient with me and treated me with such respect. Just in the short time we were on facebook, I could see the love he had for his wife and I could tell God really touched his life. Taken way too soon.
