Obituary of Myrtle Marie Walls

Myrtle M. Walls, 92, of Niles, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020, following a brief illness. She was born on November 18, 1927 in Caraway, Arkansas to the late James and Della (Griggs) Gaither. On April 30, 1946 Myrtle married Warren F. Walls. Myrtle worked for the Simplicity Pattern Company, retiring after thirty-six years. Her greatest treasures were her grandchildren and had a loving heart for animals. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Warren Walls and all of her siblings, Tommie Cadenhead, Louise Hall, Georgie Ramsay, Tootsie Brewer, Alma Walls and Sonny Gaither. Myrtle is survived by a daughter, Donna (Terry) Wolfinger of Niles; a son, Floyd (Darla) Walls of Niles; grandchildren, Gary (Tricia) Wolfinger of Niles, Lynn (Joe) Mickiewicz of Niles, Larry (Cheryl) Walls of South Bend and Doug and (Michelle) Walls of Edwardsburg; great-grandchildren, Joshua Wolfinger, Jacob Wolfinger, Jordan Mickiewicz, Ty Mickiewicz, Kaylee (Arias) Williams, Chelsey Walls, Megan Walls, Hope Walls, Emma Walls, Joey Cabanaw and Michael Bounds; great-great grandchildren, Kenai Williams, Oliver Bounds, Layla Cabanaw as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel with a time of visitation one hour prior. Myrtle will be interred next to her husband at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
