Obituary of Robert John Fairchild

Robert “Bob” John Fairchild, 96, of Niles, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020.
Bob was born on September 27, 1923 to the late Albert and Catherine (Murphy) Fairchild.
He graduated from Berrien Springs High School, served in the Army during WWII 1943-1945. On October 26, 1946, Bob wed Eleanor Curtis.
Bob was an avid restorer of automobiles, woodworking and very passionate about his wife Eleanor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Eleanor and son Donn Fairchild.
Robert is survived by his grandson, David Fairchild; his nephew Jim (Wendy) Fairchild, niece Karen Blank and good friends Tom (Sara) Probst and Don (Savannah) Marenilli.
In keeping with Bob’s wishes, he has been cremated and his family will be remembering him privately.
