Larry G. Yezbick, 80, of Dowagiac, formerly of Rochester Hills, Michigan, passed away on Sunday June 14, 2020, at The Timbers of Cass County. Larry was born on August 28, 1939, in Detroit Michigan to the late Albert and Bertha (Nemer) Yezbick. Larry, along with his brother Vic, owned and operated Y & B Market, which his father originally started, in downtown Detroit, until his retirement. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions and the Detroit Tigers. Larry adored his two daughters, he thought the sun rose and set in them, after his grandchildren came along, he felt his life was complete. He traveled across state as often as he could, to attend special events. The last two years of his life he was able to be cared for by his oldest daughter Jennifer, at her home in Dowagiac. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Yezbick, brothers, Dr. Alphonse “All” Yezbick, and Donald Yezbick; sister-in-law, Theresa Yezbick; brothers-in-law, Glen Ford and Donald Shepler. Larry is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Helmuth of Dowagiac; Lauren Yezbick of Auburn Hills; grandchildren, Morgan (Jake High) Helmuth of Marcellus, Madison Helmuth and David “Coy” Helmuth of Dowagiac; siblings, Carmen Shepler, Ramona Ford, and Victor Yezbick; best friend Pete Demopolis; along with a host of nieces and nephews; that he loved like his own children. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place, a memorial mass is being planned for a later date. Condolences, photos, and memories may be left for the family at www.BrownFuneralHomeNiles.com.
