Always looked up to Ernie and admired his Basketball Skill as a kid. always a good natured guy, upbeat and positive he and many others in his peer group displayed good qualities that us young kids emulated and he looked out for us without saying a word. unfortunately I never said that to Ernie face to face wish I had done so!. Mad respect for ya man for the guy you always were, Outstanding in every right. Family came first and he cared for his friends with a kind word well mainly a joke LOL.. Man another pillar in our little community has gone and my hope is the younger Generation took note and paid attention of a Jem Like Ernie in our town. God Bless You Bro and God Bless your family and Friends. Miss ya already and it effects me all they way in North Carolina his personality transcends! Love Ya Man Rest Well!

Uncle Ernest was more than an uncle to me and my sister. He was our second dad. He was always there for us. He was always there for anyone that knew him. I’m going to miss him calling me big head and me calling him uncle big head. I cherish the fond memories that I have of him the great laughs the karaoke. His world famous Barbecue. He never met a stranger he always met a new friend because once you met him you wanted to be friends with him.
