Obituary of Mikey Reid

Michael "Mikey" W. Reid Jr., 20, of Niles was in a motorcycle accident on June 10, 2020 and passed away on June 11, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana. He was born on February 21, 2000 in Niles to Michael and Kelli (Lehman) Reid. Michael was currently assisting his grandfather in construction work. He enjoyed extreme sports as well as riding dirt bikes, motorcycles and four wheelers. Mikey also enjoyed going to the beach, hanging with friends, animals and occasionally fishing. Mikey loved time spent with his family; he was a fantastic big brother and looked forward to opportunities to hang with his brother and sister. Michael is survived by his parents, Michael and Kelli Reid of Niles; his best friend and brother, Austin Reid; a younger sister, he adored, Gabby Reid; Paternal grandparents, Ambrose and Diane Reid of Niles; maternal grandparents, Jeff and Diana Lehman of Berrien Springs as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at Brown Funeral Home in Niles on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. with a time of visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to his parents.
