Obituary of Robert Earl Vosburgh

Robert E. Vosburgh, 96, of Dowagiac, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles. He was born on July 20, 1923 at his home to the late Harvey W. and Gertrude M. (West) Vosburgh. Robert graduated from high school in New Carlisle, Indiana. He was a farmer most of his life producing grain, soybeans and wheat. Robert enjoyed gardening, watching game shows, wrestling and westerns. He was a life-long learner and enjoyed a daily crossword puzzle. Robert loved his family and always looked forward to time spent together. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Harold, Edward and Patricia Vosburgh. Robert is survived by his children, Diane Vosburgh of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Michael Vosburgh of Dowagiac and John Vosburgh of Dowagiac; four grandchildren and his siblings, James (Dixie) Vosburgh of Lawrence, Michigan, Carl Vosburgh of Dowagiac and Edna Lore of Harrisburg, Arkansas. Due to the current, unprecedented guidelines limiting public gatherings because of the COVID-19 virus, there will be a private family gathering on Monday at Brown Funeral Home in Niles followed by graveside services at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
