When I was very young Richard and I were outside whe the rest of the family were visiting. Richard was laying in the hammock pretending he was a patient that needed care. He was groaning in imaginary pain. I said " I don't know what to do." He grabbed my shirt around my neck shook me and said, " Doc you've got to save me!" To which I replied I will I promise I'm doing everything I can."
He was always so good to me. I was his younger cousin and I always wondered if they made him keep an eye on me. I did fall in a shallow well once before that. He was named after my Dad. I remember that he was a very handsome young man. I was so proud to be his cousin.
