Obituary of Lois Ann Carlisle

Lois Ann Carlisle, 67, of Niles, passed away peacefully at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, Michigan, losing her fight to cancer. She was born on January 15, 1953 in Ozona, Texas to Edsel and Hazel (Tittle) Ingle. Ann was a talent seamstress professionally and as a pastime. She loved to sew for family and friends. She also loved to crochet and knit beautiful afghans. On August 14, 1971 she married Scott Carlisle. That union produced their only child, daughter Mellisa. She is preceded in death by her father, Edsel Ingle; mother and step-father, Hazel (Floyd) Whitaker; sister, Linda Gail Ingle and a nephew, Tim Ingle. She is survived by her daughter Mellisa (Bryan) Bucklen of Florida; three grandchildren, Makayla, Heather and Charles Bucklen all from Florida: brothers, Ray (Barbara) Ingle of Alabama, Steve (Marie) Ingle of Niles, Terry (Sally) Ingle of Kentucky, Mike (Marjorie) Ingle of Arizona, and Jimmy (Kathy) Ingle of Niles; Aunts Gratha Evans and Nellie Akers both of Niles; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Due to the Coronavirus restrictions, private graveside services for Ann’s family will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Noon at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens with Pastor David Frazier, from Coulter’s Chapel, where Ann attended, officiating. In Lieu of flowers at this time, her daughter is requesting that all contributions be given in Ann’s memory to the Hanson Hospice Center in care of Caring Circle 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, Michigan 49085.
