Betty Jean Benedix, 90, of Benton Harbor, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.
Betty was born on May 19, 1929, to the late Samuel and Ethel (Lewis) Brown in Clarkdale, Arkansas. Betty was one of five children growing up. In 1959 Betty wed the love of her life, Elmer Benedix. The two purchased their farmhouse and worked hard to make a home for their children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer; son, Sam Moore; two brothers; two sisters; and one grandson.
Betty is survived by her children, Mike (Janice) Moore of Coloma, Marty Moore of New Jersey, Max Benedix of Benton Harbor, and Margie (John) McDonald of Benton Harbor; seven grandchildren; and many extended family members and close friends.
Betty will be laid to rest next to her beloved Elmer at the North Shore Memory Garden Mausoleum in Coloma at a private ceremony.
