Obituary of David Lawane Cook

David Lawane Cook, 79, of Bloomingdale, passed away at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo on Thursday, March 5, 2020.
David was born on August 7, 1940, to the late Cecil and Fern (Gibson) Cook in Battle Creek, Michigan. After graduating from high school, David enjoyed all aspects of cars and motorcycles. He had two long term careers, one as construction foreman (Radisson plaza & Crossroads Mall) and the other as a long haul truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Fern Cook, and his 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
David is survived by his daughter, Becky (James) Givens; grandchildren, Isaiah, Joshua, and Faith Givens; nieces and nephews and many special friends, including his life long friends Patricia, Ken, & Brian.
In keeping with David’s wishes, there will be a memorial service and his family will be remembering him privately.
